Eagle Updates, January 27 - 31

Good Evening Shiloh Families,

Conference week is coming up and we are excited for the opportunity to partner with you and share your child's growth. On January 27th we will open the Pick-A-Time conference scheduler for everyone.  You will have 2 weeks to schedule a time for your child's conference.  Please click here to schedule your child's conference.  If we don't hear from you by Friday, Feb. 7th we'll make our best guess and assign a time for you and send a note home with your child. If transportation is a problem, we can do a phone conference. Just let your child's teacher know in advance.

Mrs. Duchow and Mr. Edwards

Conference Week Schedule: Monday, February 10 and Tuesday, February 11 are normal school days.

  • Wednesday, February 12: 1 pm - 6 pm (Note that school dismisses at 12:45 on Feb 12.)

With PBIS, schools teach kids about behavior, just as they would teach about other subjects like reading or math. The focus of PBIS is prevention, not punishment.

Here at Shiloh we say our school wide STAR pledge at least once a week after the Pledge of Allegiance.

Shiloh Hills S.T.A.R.Pledge:

We pledge to be a Shiloh S.T.A.R.

We will be Safe at school, Trustworthy to all,

Accountable for our actions,

and Respectful each day.

This will make us Successful

Goodies with Grownups:  On Tuesday, February 11th we invite you to join us for our Goodies with Grownups from 8 - 8:45 am in the cafeteria.  In order to make this event happen, we need a couple more volunteers that are willing to help out.  Please click on this link if you are interested and willing to help out!  Thank you for considering.

Highly Capable Students: Our annual referral window for evaluation of students for "highly capable" designation is now open until February 28, 2020.  During this time, parents & family members may complete a referral form for their child to be evaluated. While we have an online referral form linked on our district website, we also have paper copies available in the office.

Early Dismissal: School is out at 12:45pm on Friday, Jan. 31st.

Personal Safety lessons are taught to Mead students in grades K-4 and are taught by the children’s classroom teachers. The curriculum and materials have been approved by a District committee of teachers, parents, administrators, nurses, and social workers.  If you would like to preview the personal safety curriculum, please contact your school Social Worker. This can be done at any time. You will receive a letter from the principal prior to the lessons being taught in your child’s classroom. Please feel free to contact your school Social Worker if you have any questions or want to set up a time to review the personal safety lesson materials.
